The description of cannabis in the 1987 Physician's Desk Reference bears little resemblance to that in the United States Pharmacopeia before it was removed in 1941.  This is not because marijuana has ceased to have medical uses.  Indeed...many of marijuana's historic medical uses have proven true in the last two decades of research.
